Chichester Cathedral invites flower arrangers to 2028 Festival
Chichester Cathedral has announced that its 16th biennial Festival of Flowers will take place from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 10 June 2028.
The announcement follows the success of this summer’s 15th Festival, which welcomed 11,081 visitors and raised more than £175,000 to support the care of Chichester Cathedral and its work.
More than 120 volunteers, flower arrangers and creative contributors helped create the 2026 Festival’s spectacular displays. The Cathedral is now inviting both returning participants and newcomers to help shape the next Festival.
Church flower-arranging teams, individual arrangers, florists and anyone with an interest in flowers are encouraged to register their interest. Previous experience is not required, and participants do not need to be professional florists. All flowers and materials are provided, with volunteers asked to bring creativity, enthusiasm and a willingness to work alongside others.
Festival Coordinator Philippa Lane said: “The 2026 Festival was a wonderful celebration of generosity, creativity and a shared love of flowers and the Cathedral. We would love to welcome more people to be part of the 2028 Festival, whether they have taken part before or are joining for the first time.”
Anyone interested in taking part, or who knows a church team or individual arranger who may like to be involved, can contact Philippa Lane on 01243 813591 or at flowerfestival@chichestercathedral.org.uk
