Open to all parishes who want to grow, the Mission Fund makes grants that fuel mission and outreach at the local level as part of the whole-diocese aspect of the Diocesan Growth Programme, with something for every parish that wants to grow.
There is easy access to a ‘Small Grant’ stream that provides up to £2,000 per application to fund local mission and outreach.

The Mission fund also administers a small number of Innovation grants. These allow promising ideas to be tried and tested in a new parish context. Successful projects will create good learning and have strong potential for the ideas to be replicated elsewhere, with the aim of delivering additional growth locally and more widely.

Sharing and celebrating
Improving on the basis of learning is a key part of the diocesan growth strategy, as we work together under God to grow our churches.
It is expected any parish participating in grant funding pathways is willing to share their learning and celebration stories with the diocese for the benefit of the wider community.
