A prayer for the Diocesan Growth Programme

God of mission,
who sent your Son that the world might have life in all its fullness:
pour out your Holy Spirit upon the Diocese of Chichester,
and bless the work of our Growth Programme;
that through faithful proclamation of Christ,
churches renewed and sustained,
a people engaged in worship,
young people inspired to follow Him,
local ministries strengthened,
leaders equipped for your service,
and fresh ventures in mission encouraged,
many throughout Sussex may know, love, and follow Jesus;
and your Church may grow in holiness, generosity, and joyful witness;
through him who lives and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Apostolic Partnerships and Revitalisations

Almighty God,
whose Church is the body of Christ
and whose Son sends us to make disciples of all nations:
bless the partnerships by which your people share in your mission.
Bring new life to parishes throughout the Diocese,
giving courage to those who lead and serve,~
and uniting your churches in mutual love and learning;
that, renewed by your Spirit,
we may grow in faith, hope and holiness,and bear fruitful witness to Jesus Christ our Lord;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Children, Youth and Families

God our Father,
whose Son welcomed children and blessed them,
and whose Spirit makes us your children by faith:
bless all who nurture faith in children, young people and families.
Give wisdom to those who teach,
patience to those who accompany,
and joy to those who share the good news of Christ;
that, growing together in faith and love,
we may become a people who know, love and follow Jesus;

Almighty and everlasting God,
who has called leaders to serve your Church
and entrusted your people to their care:
grant to all who lead among us
wisdom to discern your will,
courage to follow where you call,
and humility to learn from others.
Renew our leaders in faith and deepen them in knowledge,
that, filled with your Holy Spirit,
they may grow in love,
serve with joy,
and inspire others to follow Christ;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

Focal Ministry

God of grace,
who calls your people to serve you
in the places where you have planted them:
equip and strengthen those who serve as Focal Ministers;
that, rooted in prayer and the life of Christ,
they may make your Church known in their communities,
care for your people, welcome the stranger,
and proclaim the good news of your kingdom.
Give wisdom to those who share in oversight,
and unity to all who serve,
that every parish may be a place of encounter with Christ;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God of all creation,
who makes all things new
and calls your Church to share in your work:
give us imagination to see new possibilities,
courage to try new things,
and wisdom to discern what bears good fruit.
Bless those who seek to serve your mission
through creativity and generosity;
that, when we succeed, we may have humility to give you thanks,
and, when we fail, grace to learn and begin again;
