Diocese of Chichester

The functions of the standing committee are to plan the business of the synod, to prepare the agenda for its sessions, and to circulate to members information about matters for discussion and to advise on matters of policy which are placed before it. The standing committee will also appoint members of committees or nominate members for election to committees, subject to the directions of the synod.

Members of the Bishop's Council are automatically members of the Finance Committee, who are the trustees and directors of Chichester Diocesan Fund and Board of Finance (Incorporated). The Finance Committee is responsible for strategic and policy decisions, and delegates much of its business to other committees or to officers and employees of the DBF. They are also automatically members of the Mission and Pastoral Committee.

Useful information for trustees can be found below under the Related Resources heading.
