Open Doors is an international Christian ministry that has supported persecuted Christians for more than 70 years through practical assistance, discipleship, advocacy and prayer.

A message from the Bishop of Horsham:

“Harvest is a season of thanksgiving, generosity and sharing God’s gifts with others. As we give thanks for God’s provision in our own lives and communities, we are also reminded that we belong to a global family of Christians. This year, I am delighted to commend the Diocese of Chichester Harvest Appeal in support of Open Doors’ Arise Africa campaign.

Across sub-Saharan Africa, millions of Christians have been displaced by violence and conflict, yet local churches continue to serve their communities and bear witness to the hope of Jesus Christ. Through this appeal, we have an opportunity not only to give toward practical and spiritual support, but also to stand in prayer and solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

I hope churches across the Diocese will join in learning from, praying for and supporting those who continue to follow Jesus in the midst of great challenges. Thank you for your generosity and partnership in this year’s Harvest Appeal.”
