Arrangements for the Archdeaconry of Horsham

At the end of July, The Revd Derek Welsman will be stepping down as Acting Archdeacon of Horsham. I’m enormously grateful to Derek for having taken this on and for the pastoral care and wisdom that he has brought to the role.

From 1 August 2021, The Revd Angela Martin, currently Acting Archdeacon of Horsham, and The Ven Luke Irvine-Capel, the Archdeacon of Chichester, will oversee the archidiaconal duties and responsibilities in the Horsham Archdeaconry. The deaneries have been allocated between them in the following way.

In addition to being Vicar of Forest Row, Angela Martin will be responsible for the deaneries of Cuckfield, East Grinstead, Horsham and Hurst.

In addition to the deaneries in the Archdeaconry of Chichester, Luke Irvine-Capel will be responsible for the deaneries of Midhurst, Petworth and Storrington.
