Generous Giving Adviser appointed

The Reverend Andrew Smith has been appointed as the Generous Giving Adviser for the Diocese of Chichester. The role has been funded by a grant from the National Giving Team.

Rob Dillingham, deputy director for Apostolic Life said: “We are delighted Andrew is joining the diocese. This new role builds on the excellent work started by John Kemp, and it has been made possible through a grant to pay his whole salary.

“Andrew comes to us with a wealth of experience from his business background, and also within parish ministry, both here as a reader at Broadwater, in Worthing, then a curate at East Dean & Friston with Jevington, and more recently as the incumbent of St Mary’s Church, Fetcham in the Diocese of Guildford. “

Andrew says he is delighted to be joining the diocese and looks forward to helping individuals, parishes and the diocese in our spiritual life together. He said: “I am passionate about us making connections between “life” and our discipleship and generous giving is a key component of our discipleship journey – following in the steps of Jesus.”

Andrew can be contacted at Andrew.smith@chichester.anglican.org or 01273 425 042 Ext. 167
