    Address:
West Tarring Rectory, Glebe Road, Worthing, BN14 7PF
    Share:

    • "Sing to the LORD a new song, sing to the LORD all the earth” Psalm 96

We are an open and inclusive Anglican parish church with a strong history of choral music looking for a skilled musician and teacher with a passion for church music who can play our organ to a high standard. The worship here is Eucharistic and liturgical with incense for some principal feasts.

The organist and choir leader will have a key role in the worship life of our church. A commitment to the Christian faith and an understanding of the relationship between music, liturgy and faith are essential. A candidate who has Christian faith but limited experience in other areas would be considered provided they are willing to learn.

The successful applicant will be involved in shaping the future musical direction of the church, together with the Rector they will have creative input into the short, medium and long term vision for the role of music in our worshipping community.

Basic rate of pay: £7300 Per Anum

    This includes:

    • Friday evening rehearsals,
    • Sunday morning Eucharist with hymns, anthem and mass setting,
    • Ten special evening services per year (on fixed dates)
    • Four Sunday Evensongs per year (negotiable)
    • Further casual pay for weddings, funerals and baptisms.
