St Andrew’s, Burgess Hill, in the Diocese of Chichester, seeks a full-time Associate Vicar to join the leadership team of the church, whose vision is to “Love Jesus, Love People, Love Church, Love Burgess Hill and beyond!”

This is an exciting time to join St Andrew’s, a lively evangelical charismatic all age community, who have recently (Easter 2024) “blended” with The Point, a local Bishop’s Mission Order church plant in Mid Sussex, to become one new church family. St Andrew’s has a strong staff team of 9, many capable and active volunteer leaders and a superb church premises and community centre, fully refurbished in 2016/17. There are many exciting opportunities for local community engagement and mission in an area of rapid population growth and investment, with much new housing recently built, and more planned for the next 10-15 years.

For more information visit standrewsbh.org.uk or contact ellie@standrewsbh.org.uk to arrange an informal conversation with the Vicar, Revd Will Kemp and/or a visit to the parish.

We are praying for a priest who will be:

A strategic leader, with relevant experience in developing teams and training others; capable of building strong relationships with all but able especially to relate to younger people.

Called to serve in the supportive role of Associate Vicar while taking overall leadership responsibility for specific areas of church life, mission and ministry.

A prayerful and inspirational Bible teacher, comfortable with the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the breadth of our worship.

Passionate about evangelism and mission, social justice and community engagement.

Keen to be part of a supportive church leadership team, local ecumenical group of church leaders, and Deanery Chapter and Synod within the Diocese of Chichester, where our vision is ‘to know, love and follow Jesus.’
