Church Action on Poverty Sunday 18th October
Churches are being encouraged to prepare for Church Action on Poverty Sunday this October by downloading a range of free resources designed for worship and reflection.
Many churches across the country will be marking Church Action on Poverty Sunday this October. In Lewes, St Anne’s will be celebrating “Food, Faith and Fellowship” with a post‑10am service lunch on Sunday 18 October, offering a chance to discuss how we can help bring about a more just and compassionate society where everyone can live life to the full, freed from poverty. Resources include sermon ideas, prayers, hymns, and practical ways for churches to take action in their communities. Parishes are invited to explore the materials in advance and consider how they might incorporate them into Sunday services or wider church activities; early planning can help ensure meaningful engagement with this important theme.
