Tackling the Book of Revelation
The Book of Revelation is certainly the strangest and most difficult document in the New Testament, often interpreted in wild and dangerous ways. Yet with its rich and profuse symbolism it is also an inspiring testimony to the risen Christ.
This seminar will locate it in the tradition of Jewish and Christian apocalyptic literature: visionary texts, written for the comfort of those communities, in times of persecution and distress.
