- Build strong relationships with parishes to understand their needs, support their engagement and help them tell their stories.
- Support parishes to access funding, develop mission plans and prepare high-quality grant applications.
- Work collaboratively with the Communications Team and Parish Support Team to ensure alignment and shared priorities.
- Experienced in communicating strategic messages to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication, writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Strong digital and visual content production experience.
- Confident working with stakeholders and building trusted relationships.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.
- Collaborative, flexible and creative.
- A salary of £43,000 per annum
- Flexi-time and hybrid working. The role is based at Church House, Hove with the opportunity to apply to use the DBF’s remote working policy to work from home for part of the week
- Enrolment into the Diocesan Pension Scheme with a 15.1% employer contribution and flexible employee contribution of between 0-6%
- 28 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and an additional 2 privilege days leave per year
- Free parking at Church House, use of the ride to work scheme and free eye tests
Programme Engagement & Communications Officer
The Diocese of Chichester is seeking a skilled and creative Programme Engagement & Communications Officer to play a key role in communicating and supporting the delivery of our Diocesan Growth Strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communications expertise and a passion for helping churches thrive. You will work at the heart of our Strategic Programmes team, helping parishes understand, engage with and contribute to the Growth Strategy, while ensuring clear, compelling and consistent messaging across the Diocese.
This role is offered on a 4-year fixed term contract.
