Deanery Development Officer. Worthing Deanery.
The Worthing Deanery Synod is looking to appoint a new Deanery Development Officer. From 1 May 2026 (or earlier if possible) – for a fixed period of 3 years.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with good administrative, developmental and digital skills to build on the work of the previous postholder, who left to take up another role with one of the parishes in the deanery.
The new Deanery Development Officer will support the Rural Dean with her work and work closely with the parishes in Ferring, Findon, Lancing and Worthing to improve communication and to develop the church’s mission across the deanery.
It would be desirable for applicants to have an understanding of the life and mission of the Church of England.
