The following were installed on Sunday 11th January in the context of Evensong.

The Revd Anne Dunlop installed as the Prebendary of Colworth

This recognises Anne having undertaken the challenges of parochial responsibility as a generous expression of SSM. Anne will bring to the life of the College of Canons the dignity of SSM and the significance of ministry in a rural location.

Anne is Priest in Charge at Hamsey and Priest in Charge at Plumpton with East Chiltington cum Novington.

The Revd Chris Sutton installed as the Prebendary of Eartham

This recognises the emergence of a distinctive form of SSM in which Chris has given stability to a parish at a time of uncertainty and been generous and sensitive to a range of theological traditions. The recognition of how our corporate life is enriched by this diversity is a gift that Chris will bring to the College of Canons.

Chris is Assistant Priest at Ardingly.

The Revd Marc Lloyd installed as the Prebendary of Hampstead

This recognises Marc’s steadfast commitment to the parishes that he serves, their diverse strengths and challenges, and, crucially, the extent to which rural ministry benefits from continuity and stability. The grace and humour Marc brings to his ministry, and its rural context, will be part of the contribution he brings to the College of Canons.

Marc is Rector at Warbleton, Bodle St Green and Dallington.

The Revd John Wall installed as the Prebendary of Seaford

This recognises John as a child of the diocese, educated at school here, ordained here, and having spent almost his whole ministry here. This has featured thoughtfully in his reflections in the Church Times and sustaining curiosity about life in all its richness as a vital element in priestly ministry. That curiosity will be a valuable contribution to the life of the College of Canons.

John is Rector at Uckfield.

Please pray for them as they take up this new role.
