Our prayers continue for the Bondi Beach victims
In the days since the attack at Bondi Beach, our prayers continue for all whose lives have been affected by this act of violence, particularly the Jewish community and all who gathered to celebrate the beginning of Hanukkah.
We stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers everywhere, and with all who long for a world where every community can live and worship in safety and peace.
Our Prayer
God of all consolation and hope,
look with mercy on all affected by the Bondi Beach attack:
on those who have died and those who mourn,
on the injured and traumatised,
on the Jewish community in Sydney and around the world,
and on all who today live in fear.
We pray for all the children in every country of the world.
We pray for Muslims, Jews and Christians that we will draw on the best of our traditions to guide us away from words and acts of division and violence so that everyone may be free to live in safety.
Protect the vulnerable, strengthen the fearful and comfort the grieving.
In Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
