Children and young people are the heartbeat of a growing church. Yet across Sussex, their presence in worship has fallen sharply. This stream tackles that challenge head-on by investing in paid Children, Youth and Families (CY&F) workers and equipping volunteers to nurture faith from toddler to teenager.
The plan includes building stronger links with schools, supporting families as “little churches” at home, and creating pathways that help young people explore and grow in faith.
By increasing resources in 40 churches and prioritising missional outreach, we aim to make church a place of joy, belonging, and spiritual discovery for the next generation.
This isn’t just about numbers – it’s about shaping lifelong disciples and ensuring our churches reflect the communities they serve. When children and families thrive in faith, the whole church flourishes.
