Growing generosity in our churches
The Church of England is providing free online resources to encourage generosity among parishioners as a way of increasing church impact through parish ministry.
You can now join a free webinar and learn about topics such as online giving, legacy giving and how to engage people with God’s generosity.
The diocesan parish adviser for finance, stewardship and governance sends out a regular communication to PCCs offering useful information. He has been rolling out these webinar dates through his newsletters. He said: “The training is very user-friendly and is intended for personal, group or whole-church use.”
A PCC member in the diocese said: “Through one of John Kemp’s mail outs to PCCs I found out about the Church of England webinars about on-line giving and contactless devices. They were excellent. Our treasurer also watched one and it has inspired us to get a move on with it.”
The new online teaching and webinars on what to do to encourage generosity are grouped into the following subjects:
