Pastoral Intern for the Parish Church of St Andrew, West Tarring (Worthing)
The PCC of St Andrew’s West Tarring are looking to employ someone who is ready to serve the Church by assisting the parish priest in all aspects of parish life and the life of our benefice.
We are a traditional Anglican parish that is firmly rooted in the heart of its community. Our worship is Eucharistic and sits in the catholic tradition of the Church of England. We are generous, open and inclusive. We desire to see God’s Kingdom grow in our parish and God’s saving love transform Individual lives and our whole parish community.
Tarring and Maybridge are neighbouring parishes which make up a benefice, there is one church in each parish.
The details of the role can be built around the right candidate, anyone interested in this kind of role is encouraged to get in touch with Fr Steven for a discussion about what it might look like for them.
This role is suitable for someone who is discerning a call to ordained ministry but this is not essential.
It will include co-ordinating Sunday School and other aspects of children’s work, so enthusiasm for this kind of work is essential and experience preferred.
Normal place of work would be St Andrew’ Church, Church Street, Tarring (Worthing).
Sometimes you would be required to work at St Richard’s Church, Maybridge.
What areas of work might be involved?
What kind of person are we hoping will join us in this role?
