Requiem Eucharist in Memoriam Canon Stephen Ferns (1961-2025)
A sung Requiem Eucharist in memory of Canon Stephen Ferns will be held at 11.00am on Saturday 4 October. The Bishop of Chichester will preside at this service, and the Dean of Ely, The Very Reverend Mark Bonney, will be the preacher.
In addition to many other posts held during his ministry, Stephen was Canon Treasurer of Chichester Cathedral, and a greatly loved figure in the cathedral and the diocese. Stephen’s funeral took place earlier this year in his home town of Stamford, attended by close family. The Requiem at the Cathedral will provide Stephen's family with an opportunity to join his many friends and colleagues in praying for him and giving thanks for his life.
