  • Door of Mercy booking form for Chichester Cathedral

Type: PDF By: Bishop of Chichester When: 25 February 2016

The Year of Mercy was inaugurated on 6 December with the opening of the door in the Cathedral. During this special year, it is hoped that parishes will bring groups to the Cathedral in pilgrimage, will go through the door of mercy, and will experience and give thanks for the mercy of God. The Lady Chapel in the Cathedral has been set aside as a focus for prayer during this Year of Mercy. To book a parish visit to the Cathedral for the Year of Mercy you should email reception@chichestercathedral.org.uk . The booking form is attached. On the day of your visit, you will be met at the Door of Mercy (St Richard’s door) by a verger who will provide an order of service for parishes visiting during this special year. Once through the Door of Mercy you will be taken to the Lady Chapel for the short service. Advance copies of the order of service are available from the Cathedral.
