Jarvis Brook is at the eastern end of East Sussex town of Crowborough, adjacent to the Ashdown Forest. The church is in a pivotal position between the railway station, thriving commercial estates, housing estates, and a small but busy high street.

St Michael’s Church (ER 73; USA 40), consecrated in 1905, is a welcoming church, fully integrated into the local community, with a variety of outreach programmes taking place in the adjacent church hall. There is an inclusive ethos, with worship in the central tradition of the Church of England, centred around the Sunday Eucharist. There is a small but committed choir and a tradition of regular worship for children and families.

We are seeking a priest who will engage with the wider parish community, in particular residents of the new housing that is coming to Jarvis Brook and inspire and energise the PCC and the entire worshipping community.

Closing date: 2nd February 2023, Interview date: 9th March 2023
