May Camp’s Wildfire Weekender is held at Plumpton racecourse over the Spring bank holiday weekend 24 - 27 May 2019.
Wildfire at May Camp is promising to be the most exciting weekend of the year, the biggest and best yet!
This year there's a programme packed full of seminars, workshops, activities including archery, graffiti, axe throwing and a whole range of other exciting workshops as well as seminars exploring everything from ‘is there a God?’ to ‘how can we reduce single-use plastic in our daily lives?’
As well as creating as many opportunities to make May Camp the most exciting weekend of your year there will be time to create a space to worship, pray, learn and meet with God. There will be the leadership development programme again with opportunities for young people to shadow key roles on site. Also, as part of the diocesan Year of Vocation 2019, vocation guides will be on site all weekend and there is an opportunity to find out about Pursuit, the new Diocesan gap year.
Dan Jenkins, Diocesan Youth Officer said: "The Wildfire theme looks at the formation of the early church and how the exciting message of Jesus spread like Wildfire, working through the beginning of Acts and looking at how early Christians did life together.
"This weekend we want young people to know that God is desperate to be in a relationship with us and the lengths that he will go to meet with us."
