A rededication of All Saint's Lindfield took place recently. The congregation were able to return after months of worshipping in the local school while the works took place.
Bishop Richard, a curate at the church between 94-98, led the morning and evening services on Sunday 3 February, while Bishop Mark rededicated the reordering at Choral Evensong.
Bishop Mark said: “The revised layout and new flexibility within the ancient church of All Saints is tremendous. It is a testimony to the faith and commitment of the people there that they have invested so richly in the future mission of the church in Lindfield.”
Vicar James Clarke said: “After so many years of planning and preparation for this project I am thrilled to be able to finally reveal the revitalised building, and we look forward to it being used by the whole village community.”
Some of the new changes included the installation of underfloor heating and the reordering of the pews to create a flexible space for church worship and activities.
