Margaret Gibson, Personal Assistant to the Bishop of Chichester, will be retiring at the end of May after serving faithfully for nearly five years.
She said: “It has been a great pleasure to work with Bishop Martin, the staff at the Palace, and getting to know the diocesan clergy and those who work for the diocese of Chichester in so many different ways. The role has been challenging and demanding but very fulfilling.Having come from the Diocese in Europe where I worked for Bishop Geoffrey Rowell, I have clocked up 13 years of working with bishops – don’t worry I am not going to write my memoirs in my retirement – my lips are sealed!!
There will be an opportunity or two to say farewell to Margaret. Details will be shared in due course.
