This could be the final year for one of Hove's longest running Christmas events which was the first of its kind in the world.
The annual Beach Hut Advent Calendar, which has been going since 2008, sees a single beach hut open with a themed art installation every night from 1st-24th December but is due to come to an end this year. However, the organisers have asked anyone interested in helping with its continuation should make contact.
Rev Martin Poole, vicar at St Luke's Church Prestonville Brighton and BeyondChurch Director said: " The main objective of Beyond is to innovate and pioneer new ideas for engaging people with Christian faith and the team would like to be putting energy into that so to stop running the Beach Hut Advent Calendar will help with that. It has been wonderful doing this since 2008 and seeing how creative the people of Brighton and Hove are."
This year the theme is #FollowtheStar, which links to the Church of England's Christmas campaign.
People from across Sussex, East an West are welcomed to take part, enjoy the art, have a warming drink and a mince pie and be inspired to follow the light of Christ this Advent season.
There will be a star marking the hut that is open each night and an opportunity to collect a piece of a unique souvenir puzzle to remind you of this seafront pilgrimage. .
2018 looks set to be the final BEYOND Beach Hut Advent Calendar. If you are interested in helping with the continuation of this event please email email@example.com
