CREATION CALLS: THE CHALLENGE & HOPE OF CARING FOR GOD’S EARTH
- The challenge of climate change - Hasn’t it always been happening? What is global warming and what are its impacts?
- The challenge of biodiversity loss. Is David Attenborough right? Does it matter if we lose species? How resilient is life on Earth?
- The challenge of the Bible: What is our place in Creation? Do we have a Creation Commission? What is broken in Creation? What part of Creation matters most to God?
- The challenge of Jesus: Is conservation the answer? Where does Jesus fit in? Do science and resurrection go together?
- The challenge of Mission: Is there more to it than ‘Eco Church’? What are the Marks of Mission of the Church of England? What does it mean for the life of our Church? Isn’t caring for Creation just an add-on to the ‘real work’?
- The challenge of Worship: Why does worship matter to caring for Creation? Have you ever experienced God when out in the natural world? What is the value of Creation to Christian belief?
- The challenge of Discipleship: Connecting with our destiny: Why does discipleship matter to caring for Creation? Doesn’t it all end with God’s judgement? Is there any continuity between ‘this world and the next’?
- The challenge of Community: How does caring for Creation build community? Is it just about people?
