St Matthias church in Brighton is seeking to recruit a part time administrator as part of the ‘Strategic Development Fund’ (SDF) church growth initiative. The role is to ensure the efficient running of the office including equipment and IT systems, to ensure the church is fully compliant in safeguarding, health and safety, fire regulations, accessibility, insurance etc. You will work with volunteers to ensure that all church events are well publicized as well as providing administrational support to occasional offices and midweek events such as parenting courses and Alpha. You will also give administrational support for Faculty Applications, and report to Chichester Diocese and the Church Commissioners about SDF progress reports. You will fill in funding applications for church based activities that attract funding support. Salary: £25,000 per annum pro rata, 20 hours per week. Closing Date: 26.11.17
Interview: Week commencing 8th December 2017. Successful applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The administrator must be sympathetic to the Christian values and will be expected to attend staff meetings which have regular prayer.
