The Bishop of Lewes, Richard Jackson, will be helping to raise much-needed funds and highlighting the issues around homelessness when he joins The Big Sleepout 2017, organised by Brighton based charity Off The Fence.
Off The Fence works with vulnerable individuals and rough sleepers across Brighton and Hove to offer hope, a way forward and the opportunity to live a transformed life. The charity provides short and long-term solutions by delivering a range of support networks to empower people and prevent poverty in all its forms.
The Big Sleepout 2017 will provide a glimpse of what life is like for rough sleepers and will raise the much-needed money for Off The Fence to help rebuild their lives.
Please, will you consider sponsoring Bishop Richard to help support those in desperate need of help across Brighton and Hove?
Winter is the hardest time of year for those without homes. Countless individuals will be exposed to the freezing cold this Winter, and will desperately need practical and emotional support during these months. The Big Sleepout 2017 is a practical experience designed to help people get a taste of what life might be like if they were homeless or sleeping rough. For one night people sleep rough in an outdoor, secure location in order to reflect on concern for the marginalised and to start thinking about how they can respond. Will you join us to help support those who face life on the streets daily?
The event will be taking place on the 11th November at Aldrington Primary School, Eridge Road, Hove, BN3 7QD.
The Sleepout event takes place on 11 November.
