Do you care deeply about transforming the lives of those who live in poverty?
Do you believe the church has a vital role to play in tackling disadvantage and inequality? Part of a national network, TiS is an exciting new joint venture between the Diocese of Chichester and the Church Urban Fund. Together in Sussex will support churches, people and community groups to increase the effectiveness of the Church’s response to poverty across Sussex building integrated communities.
We are looking for someone with energy and imagination to mobilise and support churches who are working to tackle poverty. You must have excellent communication and advocacy skills, an ability to develop relationships with a wide range of people, experience of working with the local church and of setting up or working in church or community based projects, as well as an understanding of the issues and impact of poverty and deprivation in our society.
